Meeting Cancelled

Tonight's PTO meeting has been cancelled due to the bad weather.  Our next meeting won't be until April.  If anything comes up in the mean time, please feel free to contact Christy Wahl or Sheila McFarland.

Campbell Soup Labels

Thanks to everybody who donated soup and other Campbell product labels!  We were able to donate soccer balls, footballs, jump ropes, and tetherballs to Fellows through this program.   For more information about the Campbell label program see http://www.labelsforeducation.com/.

Holiday Gift Card Sales

Looking for a quick gift?  We will be selling gift cards (SCRIP) in the lobby of Fellows on Wednesday, December 16 from 8:15 am until 8:45 am and Friday, December 18.

How to Order SCRIP Online

What are SCRIP?  SCRIP are gift cards that we purchase from hundreds of local and nationwide retailers.  You can buy gift cards from Cub Foods, for example, and use them for your weekly shopping.  We buy the gift cards at a discount (set by the retailer) and sell them to you at face value.  The difference is the amount the PTO keeps to fund our various activities.  

Ordering SCRIP has never been easier!    Simply go to http://www.shopwithscrip.com/.  First time users will need to create an account.  To do this, click on "Create account" on the left side of the page.  Our enrollment code that you will need to input is C2412B9C9L7; this code makes sure that you have access to local SCRIP and we get credit for your purchases.  

Once your account is set up you can order by clicking on the order link and browsing for your favorite stores.  You can search for local stores too either using the search box or browsing by category.   Once you have all the gift cards you want in your cart, you have two options for paying for your scrip.  You can either place the order and leave a check in the SCRIP box at Fellows (with a copy of the order) or you can pay by having your checking account debited electronically.  To do the electronic debit you will need to follow the instructions for how to set this up.  The cost per order for this option is 39 cents.

December Meeting Cancelled

Thanks to all who came to our November meeting to hear Linda Beyea, the Ames Superintendent, speak. 

The Fellows PTO meeting for December has been cancelled.  Our next meeting will be on January 12.  We meet the second Tuesday of the month at 7 pm.

Holiday / gift scrip

On December 19 the Fellows PTO will be selling in-stock scrip, gift certificates, and gift cards. Scrip makes for a great holiday gift. You're going to spend the money anyway. Why not do so in a way that benefits the school?!

Mileage Club 2009

Mary Greeley is sponsoring mileage club again this year! It costs us nothing and the kids have a great time! Here's how it works:
 
On Monday, Wednesday and Friday, during lunch hour, the kids run/walk laps on a pre-set course. For each lap they get a punch on their card. For each card that is filled, they receive a token for their chain. The more they walk/run, the more prizes they earn! They have a great time challenging each other and working for the most miles!
 
We need 3 volunteers, one to coordinate each of the three days. If we have 3 volunteers, it is an easy job for each. There is not a lot to do other than making sure we have the tokens, punch cards, and volunteers to punch during lunch (we will help with this). Our volunteers from the last three years have agreed to help the new volunteers get started. They have it all organized!
 
Mileage club will start March 30 and run through May 22. Please let us know if you can help!
